The first “River Festival” in 2008 brought together individuals, institutions, and government bodies to discuss rivers under the theme “Nadi Kinare Nadi Ki Baat” (Discussions About Rivers by the River Bank). Since then, five major and one mini festival have been held. Narmada Samagra has consistently championed recognizing rivers as living entities, advocating for their rights from source to confluence, gaining support from society and government.
